Individual Project (Unit 11)
The individual presentation deliverable for the Machine Learning module: a focused investigation building on the team project, submitted as a presentation with supporting artefacts at 23:55 hrs Monday 13 July 2026.
This page is the hub for the individual project across Units 8 to 11.
Project summary
(To be populated as the project takes shape. The summary will state the focus, the dataset, the methodology, the model comparison or analysis carried out, and the headline findings.)
Learning Outcomes addressed
The individual project addresses all four module learning outcomes, with particular weight on:
- LO2 (datasets, applicability and challenges) - through the dataset selection and limitations work.
- LO3 (apply and critically appraise ML techniques) - through the modelling and critical appraisal of trade-offs.
- LO1 (legal, social, ethical and professional issues) - through the framing of model use and the reporting choices.
- LO4 (effective member of a development team) - through the way individual outputs are positioned in the broader team-project arc.
Per-artefact LO mapping appears in the relevant sections below.
Working notes and decisions
Chronological log of the individual-project decisions: scope choices, dataset checks, model runs, what worked, what did not, and why. Each entry is timestamped and links to the underlying evidence.
(To be populated as the work progresses through Units 8 to 11.)
Deliverable
The Unit 11 individual deliverable: presentation, transcript, and supporting code. Embedded and anchored once finalised; cross-referenced from the Evidence Index.
(To be populated near the 13 July 2026 deadline.)
Peer and tutor feedback
Feedback received during the individual project. Anonymised; original artefacts held in the working record.
(To be populated as it arrives.)
Comparison against the Unit 6 team project
The assignment brief explicitly requires an evaluation of the final individual project (Unit 11) against the initial team-project proposal (Unit 6). That evaluation has its own page, written from the perspective of having completed both, and is the document the reflection draws on when synthesising the team-to-individual arc.
